Hello. Are you aware of any work/trade straw bale construction opportunities in/around Australia. I live in San Francisco, CA and am interested in learning how to build with straw bale through hands on experience. Location is not important.

Thank you.

Hello! Have just discovered your fab website/blog! A lady who lives near us on the SE coast of WA has a strawbale house/cafe and it is gorgeous and I have my heart set on - eventually - getting one like it! (Although hubby is not so keen!) However, have only found one couple involved with designing/building strawbales houses here commercially in WA and they said they were going out of business when I rang them 6 months ago. My question is this: is there a strawbale house network you know of in WA that you could put me in touch with? Otherwise I can see I'll just have to bone up on some research and build it myself!!!!

Great site Mark and excellent house! Just asking or really noting the 'heating up' issue that those low voltage lights have that usually means they need to breathe a bit more than 90mm dia PVC I'd say?? As you know they heat up and switch off.. Just thought worth mentioning. At the same time I am an architect (WA) and doing some doco for an architect/friends own house. :) But haven't got anything like the experience in these that you have.
Congrats on the first steps by the way. Wonderful. thanks!
